    Marion Jones steroids confession

As a long time fan of Marion Jones her recent addmission to steroid use saddens me.  I think these coaches and trainers are so outrageous.   To tell Marion that what she was taking was flaxseed oil when it was a performance enhancer is just wrong.  Barry Bonds trainer did the same thing.   Admittingly, maybe she should have said something onced she found out.  For her ex-husband to snitch on her just because he was caught is foul.  The money scandal was run by her longtime agent whom she no doubt put too much trust in.  Just a lot of poor judgement on her part.  I think her world was crashing in on her...and she  just couldn't take it anymore.  Her speech was very heartfelt,  I still support her and remain a fan.  I feel for her two children....who no doubt will be two of the fastest runners in the future.

Yeah, Marion got a bum rap for trusting people around her.  I'm sorry for her but she should have been more attentive or in control of the things that were being given to her.  It's funny though, cuz when you think about having a trainer or coach, your whole life is in her hands.  So she can't win for losing...poor thing.  That ex ratting on her sucks as well.  He had no honor and knowingly used 'roids.  He didn't have to destroy her on his way down as well, but hey, that's what divorce is like.  Marion has made a few bad choices in life, love and trainers.  I hope she can recover.  I still remain a fan and think she is beautiful.  I mean look at the at bod after 2 children?  And besides that, she is a sweet person.  Good luck!

Grrrr.  Maybe I'm the oddball here but I don't care that she took steroids.  I'm irked that she lied about it all this time and just now admitted it.  I mean, why couldn't she keep lying about it to her grave?  Now little girls like me who looked up to her when we were growing up have to rethink that hero/role model paradigm.  Argh! I guess her back was up against the wall and she had to own up.  What a mess!  And today she had to return all her Sidney medals.  One of her golds now goes to another runner who is being investigated for doping as well.  Her gold winning relay team have to return their medals as well.  Why did you have to go and mess it up for everyone?  Or why didn't you own up at the very beginning?  Geez.

It is pretty sad, If you pay close attention to the story, it seems as though she has a bunch of criminals around her.  Not that she's not responsible for her choices but, I mean really.  I hope that in time she will be able to recover from all this at least enough to be able to earn a living as coach or something.  This is really unfortunate.

I was thinking about what she could do professionally once the smoke blows.  Maybe she can write a book (in a year or so). Despite what has happened...I wish her well.  I hope she pulls out of this.

I wish her well too.  I think she will write a book and get redemption that way.  I read somewhere that she is flat broke.  She is a mom of two and I really hope she can turn it around.  I mean people in the public eye get forgiven for even worse.  Why should she be any different?  She fell in to the wrong crowd.  That's the story of a lot of people's lives.  Think about all the liars who've moved on with their lives...Governor McGreevey, Bill Clinton to name a few.  I will put her in my prayers.  I know she will pull through.
