    I am so pleased that Ruby Dee finally received an Oscar nomimation for her role in "American Gangster".  At age 83 she is just as vibrant as her fellow nominees.  Her complete body of work is remarkable.  It is a shame that it taken this long for her to be recognized.  Although her part was small in this movie....her contribution was huge.  I'll be rooting for her on Oscar night.

    I am also excited about Ruby Dee's nomination for the Oscar.  She recently won the Screen Actors Guild award for this role.  Usually that's an indication that they will win the Oscar, but that wasn't the case  for Eddie Murphy last year.  I saw her on Oprah, she was great. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
