    AIRLINE CRISIS

Over the past few weeks various airlines, including ATA, have gone out of business.  American cancelled thousands of flights and may continue the trend and Frontier Airlines declared bankruptcy.  How is the recent turbulence in the airline industry affecting you for the better or for the worse?

I think American Airlines is back on track.  They were required to ground a bunch of their planes to make some mechanical adjustments.  The truth of the matter is we are in a recession and we are going to probably experience a lot of changes in the economy and of living comfortability.

The airlines are doing much more than cancelling flights.  They're charging to check you bags.  I know that it all makes me reluctant to fly these days.  I just can't see paying triple for something that was so reasonably priced months ago...I will have to make the best out of home or plan a road trip or to and seeing how gas prices are so high, I'm not sure that's any better...
